Reading trackers on Android in 2026: which apps are there and which are coming

Android readers have fewer choices than iPhone readers, but the main trackers are there.

Short answer

On the pages we read, Basmo, Bookly, Fable, Goodreads, Hardcover and The StoryGraph are on Android. Literal lists Android as coming soon, Magic Bookmark has it on its roadmap, and BookBuddy is listed on Apple devices only (iPhone, iPad and Mac with Apple silicon), with no Android app. Every app we profile runs on iPhone.

Which trackers can an Android reader use today?

On the pages we read in September 2026 and updated on 2026-10-11, Basmo, Bookly, Fable, Goodreads, Hardcover and The StoryGraph are on Android. Between them they cover most reader types: charts and buddy reads in The StoryGraph, the largest community in Goodreads, clubs in Fable, a light privacy label in Hardcover, a reading timer in Bookly, and a journal in Basmo.

Which apps are not on Android yet?

  • Literal lists Android as coming soon. Its web version at literal.club works in any browser in the meantime.
  • Magic Bookmark is iPhone only; its site says Android is on the roadmap for later.
  • BookBuddy is listed on Apple devices only (iPhone, iPad and Mac with Apple silicon), with no Android app.

Basmo's App Store listing says Only for iPhone, and basmo.app links to its Google Play app.

Does the web version help?

For a log, yes. Fable, Goodreads, Hardcover, Literal and The StoryGraph have a web version, so you can update your shelves from a browser on any phone or computer. A web version does not replace an app for scanning barcodes, which needs the camera.

Are Android listings different from iPhone ones?

Sometimes. Several facts on this site come from Google Play: Goodreads' listing says the app contains ads and that Goodreads is a free service; Bookly's listing names ISBN scanning and Goodreads and Kindle import, and also says it contains ads; Fable's listing describes an ebook reader with club reactions. Prices on this site are US App Store or app website prices; Android prices can differ.

What should an Android reader do?

Open the tracker finder, choose Android, and add your other answers. The finder leaves out nothing: apps that are not on Android show as Not offered for that answer, so you can see what you would miss and what you would get.
